Big changes are coming to strata management in Western Australia, and your input is needed! The State Government is currently seeking feedback on a new education model designed to raise professional standards across the industry.

What’s Happening?

After years of consultation and a previous feedback period in 2022, the proposed model is now open for final review. Here are the key takeaways:

  • Higher Qualifications: A Certificate IV in Strata Community Management will become the minimum requirement for all strata managers. This ensures professionals possess the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage complex strata schemes.
  • Career Progression: The new model introduces clear career pathways and redefines roles within the industry. This will create more opportunities for professional development and advancement.
  • Smooth Transition: Strata managers will have a transition period from the anticipated start date of the new regulations in 2025 to meet the updated requirements.

Have Your Say!

The consultation period closes on Monday, December 9th. This is your chance to review the proposed changes and provide valuable feedback.

Why This Matters:
